Saturday morning coffee bar

On Saturday mornings, ballet classes for children run from 9:15 to 12 o’clock. The parents, siblings and carers of the children wait in the Day Centre room whilst the lessons are going on. People from the church provide Fairtrade tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets and fruit juices to everyone at a cost which the customers find astonishingly low. We are trying to demonstrate that Fairtrade tastes good and does not cost the earth!

 

The coffee bar makes a small profit which is sent to Child Advocacy International. Last year we were able to send just over £1000 off to Palestine where it will pay for toilets and washbasins in a  local hospital.
